In 2019 Prof. Uri Ben-David joined the Department of Human Molecular Genetics & Biochemistry, in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. Prof. Ben-David studies cancer genetics, focusing on aneuploidy - changes in the number of chromosomes, which are characteristic of cancer cells. His research group applies genomic and functional tools to dissect the role of aneuploidy in tumorigenesis and to devise strategies to selectively kill aneuploid cell.
