Edmond J. Safra Center & Rabin Medical Center - Joint Grants Call
The Edmond J. Safra Center for Bioinformatics aims to promote excellence in clinical bioinformatics research by bringing together bioinformatics scientists and clinicians. This year, together with Rabin Medical Center (RMC), we published a joint call for grants with the intention to support fundamental and translational collaborative research that combines novel computational techniques and clinical applications. The grants were for the amount of up to 100,000 NIS each. Each proposal was anonymously reviewed by independent reviewers. Final decisions were made by the grant committee of Prof. Itay Mayrose (TAU) and Prof. Leonard Leibovici (RMC).
We are excited to announce the awardees:
Ran Elkon, Faculty of Medicine, TAU
and
Gal Markel, RMC
Research title: "Transcriptomic delineation of the modulation of the immune system elicited by ketogenic diet in melanoma patients"
Asaf Madi, Faculty of Medicine, Elhanan Borenstein, Faculty of Medicine & School of Computer Science, TAU
and
Zohar Levi and Yael Goldberg, RMC
Research title: "Spatial characterization of the transcriptional landscape in Lynch syndrome tumors"
Roded Sharan, School of computer Science, TAU
and
