July 2021: Avraham is a new member of the National Council for Research and Development

Prof. Karen Avraham, Edmond J. Safra member (Medicine), was appointed as one of thirteen new council members of the National Council for Research and Development. Each member is appointed for four years.

The council serves as the government's strategic thinking arm. Its task is to map the needs of research and development activity in Israel and to identify its strengths and weaknesses, and it makes recommendations on national policy on research and development.
