November 2023: Sprinzak is Full Professor

Congratulations to Prof. David Sprinzak, Edmond J. Safra affiliate (Life Sciences), who was promoted to Full Professor.

Prof. Sprinzak’s lab uses a systems biology and biophysical approaches to study developmental patterning processes. This work utilizes quantitative live cell imaging and mathematical and computational modeling to elucidate the fundamental processes that control cell fate decisions and spatial organization in developing and regenerating tissues. In recent years his lab has focused on the embryonic development of the mammalian inner ear and on the mechanisms of hair cell regeneration. The inner ear research in the Sprinzak lab has the potential to uncover mechanisms that may promote the development of new therapeutic approaches to hearing and balance disorders.
