August 2023: Miller and Rannon win research excellence prize

Congratulations to Danielle Miller, Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellow (Burstein & Stern labs, Life Sciences), and Ella Rannon, (Burstein lab, Life Sciences) who won the 2023 prize of excellence in research awarded by George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences at TAU.

The prize is awarded based on academic achievements to graduate students from the Life Sciences Faculty.

Danielle won the prize for her research titled "Sequence based methods and language models for microbial genomics".

Ella won the prize for her research titled "Prediction of novel antimicrobial resistance genes using machine learning approaches".
