June 2026: Baumer awarded Barel travel scholarship by TAD
Ella Baumer, Edmond J. Safra PhD fellow, has been named among the recipients of the 2026 Barel Travel Scholarships awarded by the Center for AI and Data Science at Tel Aviv University.
Ella Baumer, Edmond J. Safra PhD fellow (Pupko lab, Life Sciences) has been named among the recipients of the 2026 Barel Travel Scholarships awarded by the Center for AI and Data Science at Tel Aviv University (TAD).
The scholarships were granted to fifteen graduate students from across TAU, all conducting research in the fields of AI and data science, following a competitive selection process by the TAD committee.
Ella will present her research titled "Adaptive phylogenetic tree search via machine learning-based parameter selection" at the 2026 Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution (SMBE), conference. The international conference will take place on June 28, 2026, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
