March 2024: Borenstein is head of a new Center – The Alrov Center for Digital Medicine
Prof. Elhanan Borenstein, Head of the Edmond J. Safra Center, is heading the Alrov Center for Digital Medicine, a joint initiative of TAU and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov).
Tel Aviv University and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov) have launched a new joint center, named Alrov Center for Digital Medicine, aiming to promote collaborative research in digital medicine, harnessing the combined abilities, strengths, and expertise of the two institutions.
Prof. Elhanan Borenstein, Head of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Bioinformatics, is heading the new Center, a joint initiative of Tel Aviv University and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov).
The new Center will promote computational and translational research on electronic medical records (EMR) and molecular data (omics), with an emphasis on big data, computational innovation, and translation applications.
The Center’s establishment was made possible thanks to a generous donation by Mr. Alfred Akirov.
