May 2020: Benjamini elected to the US National Academy of Sciences
Prof. Yoav Benjamini (Statistics and Operations Research) was elected as a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States.
Prof. Yoav Benjamini (Statistics and Operations Research), Israel Prize laureate and Edmond J. Safra Member, was elected as a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States.
"It is my great honor to be a member of this academic community, which is influential and important both in and outside the academic research world", said Prof. Benjamini to YNET, an online Israeli newspaper.
The Academy recently announced the selection of 120 members and 26 international members in recognition of their distinguished and continuing achievements in research. Prof. Benjamini is the only statistician selected this year.
