June 2022: New Edmond J. Safra member: Dr. Uri Obolski
Dr. Uri Obolski has joined the Edmond J. Safra Center as a member.
Dr. Uri Obolski has joined the Edmond J. Safra Center as a member. He holds a joint position at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Exact Sciences.
Dr. Obolski completed all his academic studies in TAU. He graduated from the Adi Lautman Interdisciplinary Program for Outstanding Students, earned a BSc in Mathematics, and an MSc and PhD in Computational Biology under the supervision of Prof. Lilach Hadany. He conducted his postdoctoral research in the field of computational epidemiology, in the University of Oxford. Dr. Obolski has been a senior lecturer in TAU since July 2019.
Dr. Obolski's main research interests are the study of infectious diseases and their interactions with the environment, using mathematical and statistical models. His main research topics include prediction of antibiotic resistance, causal estimation of the effects of antibiotic consumption on resistance; and prediction of mosquito-borne virus dynamics based on climatic data.
