Dr. Miri Danan-Gotthold is a faculty member in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences and is joining the Edmond J. Safra Center as an affiliate.
Dr. Miri Danan-Gotthold received her PhD in Molecular Genetics at Bar-Ilan University. For her postdoctoral studies, she joined Prof. Sten Linnarsson lab at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, specializing in the human brain and single-cell approaches. She continued for a one-year bridge position at the Weizmann Institute of Science at Prof. Orly Reiner's lab.
Dr. Danan-Gotthold's main research interests are alternative splicing, single cell approaches and neurodevelopment. Her lab combines computational and experimental methods to explore the role of alternative splicing in neurodevelopment and related disorders.
