March 2025: Edmond J. Safra Young Researchers' Forum annual conference

On March 31, 2025, the annual student conference of the Edmond J. Safra Young Researchers' Forum took place in Jaglom Hall at TAU. The conference, titled "Byte-Sized Science, was organized and executed entirely by six Edmond J. Safra MSc and PhD student fellows, who are the committee members and leaders of the Edmond J. Safra Young Researchers' Forum, Michael Amar, Tal Bamberger, Liat Bilinsky, Alisa Greenberg, Yehuda Landau, and Yair Shimony.

About 70 bioinformatics research students and undergraduate bioinformatics students participated in the conference. Prof. Elhanan Borenstein, head of the Edmond J. Safra Center, opened the conference, greeted the students, and thanked the students' organizing committee for planning, organizing, and managing the entire event.

The program featured eleven lightning talks by graduate students from various faculties who presented diverse research topics. The dynamic format kept the audience engaged, with questions from the audience after each talk demonstrating the participants' interest. Following these talks, a fun Kahoot game was held, closing the program. The conference concluded with a light lunch and social gathering.

It was a fascinating, successful event, both scientifically and in terms of community spirit. The students demonstrated how to produce a professional and meticulously well-organized conference, combining scientific and social content.
