September 2021: Tuller: Silent mutations can predict cancer development
Prof. Tamir Tuller, and his MSc student, Tal Gutman, were able to predict both the type of cancer and patients' probability of survival, based on silent mutations in cancer genomes.
Prof. Tamir Tuller, Edmond J. Safra member (Engineering) and his MSc student, Tal Gutman, now a new Edmond J. Safra student fellow, were able to predict, for the first time, both the type of cancer and patients' probability of survival, based on silent mutations in cancer genomes.
The study was published in NPJ Genomic Medicine. It may have implications to various areas of oncological research.
The study was featured in numerous Israeli newspapers, including DOCTORS ONLY, JPOST, TIMES OF ISRAEL, ISRAEL365NEWS, HAMODIA, I24NEWS, and more.
