Collaborative Clinical Bioinformatics Research Grants of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Bioinformatics at TAU & Rabin Medical Center

     

The Edmond J. Safra Center for Bioinformatics aims to promote excellence in clinical bioinformatics research by bringing together bioinformatics scientists and clinicians. This year, together with Rabin Medical Center (RMC), we published a joint call for grants with the intention to support fundamental and translational collaborative research that combines novel computational techniques and clinical applications. The grants were for the amount of up to 100,000 NIS each. Each proposal was anonymously reviewed by independent reviewers. Final decisions were made by the grant committee of Prof. Itay Mayrose (TAU) and Prof. Leonard Leibovici (RMC).

Research title: "Spatial characterization of the transcriptional landscape in Lynch syndrome tumors"

Romy Zemel, RMC, and Daniella Levy Erez, Schneider Children's Medical Center

Research title: "Pathway analysis of urinary Extracellular vesicle proteome for novel biomarker discovery for kidney allograft rejection"
