January 2022: Rosset: New BSc degree program in Data Sciences

Prof. Saharon Rosset, Edmond J. Safra member (Statistics) is a co-head of a new BSc degree program in Data Sciences in TAU. The program will provide students with in-depth education that combines mathematics, statistics, data engineering and various fields of application. The program is a unique combination of courses from Exact Sciences and Engineering. The program will provide students with deep scientific and theoretical background as well as applied tools, and will enables students to quickly integrate into the industry in a variety of fields.

The new degree program was featured in the Israeli online newspaper YNET. Prof. Rosset was interviewed and said that after two years of dealing with the corona there is no need to expand on the enormous impact of data science on our lives. Students in the program will learn how to formulate applied solutions for complex systems that are rich in data.
