September 2023: Avraham awarded Shambaugh Prize
Prof. Karen Avraham, Edmond J. Safra member and the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, was awarded the International Shambaugh Prize.
Prof. Karen Avraham, Edmond J. Safra member and the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, was awarded the International Shambaugh Prize from the Collegium Oto-Rhino-Laryngologicum Amicitiae Sacrum (CORLAS).
The Shambaugh Prize is awarded every second year by the CORLAS Board to a member who has accomplished a remarkable work in the field of otology and related basic research.
The Collegium was founded in 1926. The members are elected, whereby one must have accomplished excellence in ears, nose and throat (ENT) research and be under the age of 50 to be nominated. The limit is 10 per country - 7 MDs and up to 3 PhDs.
Prof. Avraham was elected into the Collegium in 2002.
