July 2025: A conference in memory of Dr. Hadas Zur z"l

A conference in memory of the late Dr. Hadas Zur, a former Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellow, was held on July 24, 2025 at TAU. Tuller-con 2025  was organized by her advisor, Prof. Tamir Tuller, Edmond J. Safra member, together with Shai Cohen, Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellow and Dr. Alon Diament, former Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellow (Tuller lab, Engineering).

The program included keynote and invited lectures, student presentations, and a lively poster session. Some 85 students and faculty attended, engaging with research topics in computational approaches in cancer research, diagnosis, and therapy, gene expression models, computational approaches for developing vaccines and computational synthetic biology.

A highlight of the event was a keynote lecture by Prof. Sergei Maslov, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, who talked about "Estimating RNA velocity from single cell RNA-seq". The Edmond J. Safra Center for Bioinformatics supported this talk.
