May 2023: Slon awarded the Wolf Foundation Krill Prize

Dr. Viviane Slon, Edmond J. Safra affiliate (Medicine), was awarded the Wolf Foundation Krill Prize for Excellence in Scientific Research in a ceremony that took place on May 3, 2023.

Dr. Viviane Slon is a member of the Departments of Anatomy and Anthropology and of Human Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry in the School of Medicine. She is also affiliated with the Dan David Center for Human Evolution and Biohistory Research. Her PhD and post-doctoral research on ancient hominin DNA were conducted in the Department of Evolutionary Genetics of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology (Leipzig, Germany), with Prof. Svante Paabo, recent Nobel Prize Laureate. Dr. Slon is also the recipient of the Alon Fellowship.
