August 2024: MD-PhD program – 2nd students' conference

The second students' meetup of the MD-PhD program took place on August 7 2024 at the Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences at TAU.

The conference, organized by Yadid Algavi, MD-PhD student (Borenstein lab, Medicine) brought together the MD-PhD students who presented talks highlighting the diverse array of basic and translational research conducted by the students. The program also featured a guest speaker, Prof. Yossi Shiloh, Edmond J. Safra member (Medicine) who talked about "Decisions in science".  The program allowed time for networking and mingling between the participants.

Several Edmond J. Safra PhD student fellows, who are studying in this special track, participated in this meeting. These students are studying towards a medical degree (Doctor of Medicine) and in parallel conducting research in bioinformatics in the regular PhD track.
