August 2018: Frishberg and Gelbart win Life Sciences award
Amit Frishberg, Edmond J. Safra PhD fellow (Gat-Viks' lab, Life Sciences) and Maoz Gelbart, Edmond J. Safra PhD fellow (Stren's lab, Life Sciences) won the 2018 Life Sciences Faculty award for excellence in research.
The award is presented once a year to several graduate students who have excelled in their research.
Amit Frishberg's research is about dicovering disease related cellular mechanisms using gene expression data, by focosing on the expression variability between single cells.
Maoz Gelbart studies the extreme evolution of HIV. Maoz presented his work in the inauguration ceremony of the Koret-UC Berkeley-TAU initiative in May 2018, and in the LS award ceremony on 21/8/18.
