Abstract:  Israel was the first country to implement COVID-19 booster vaccination, a decision that could not be informed by randomized studies at the time and which ultimately led to US and global implementation of 3rd and 4th doses (and beyond) following the Israeli model. Dr. Huppert was the lead scientist behind this effort within the Israeli Ministry of Health, reported in the attached series of NEJM papers. His presentation will address the scientific and policy processes and outcomes surrounding this work.
